Tab Launcher does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data.
What it reads, and why. To show results in the command bar and switcher, Tab Launcher reads your open tabs (titles and addresses). If you turn on history and bookmark search in settings, it also searches your browsing history and bookmarks. This happens entirely on your computer.
What it stores. The order in which you used your tabs, and, only if you turn on tab previews, small pictures of tabs you have viewed. Both are kept in Chrome's session storage, stay on your computer, and are deleted when Chrome closes. It also keeps your settings, a count of how many times you have switched tabs with it, and whether it has asked you to rate it, in Chrome's local storage on your computer.
What it sends. Nothing. When you choose to search the web, Chrome sends your search to your default search engine, as it would from the address bar. When you choose a site search (for example YouTube), the page for that search opens directly on that site.
Links. The settings page links to Property How Much (propertyhowmuch.sg), made by the same team. Clicking it opens that website, which has its own privacy policy.
Limited Use. The use of information received from Chrome APIs (tabs, history, bookmarks) adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It is used only to provide the features described above, is never transferred, sold or used for advertising, and is never read by a person.
Welcome and uninstall pages. When you install Tab Launcher, Chrome opens a welcome page on tab-launcher-app.vercel.app. When you remove it, Chrome opens a short, optional survey there. These are ordinary web pages hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. If you answer the survey, we store only the reason you pick, any text you type, the extension version and the date. We don't store your IP address or anything else that identifies you.
Contact. Use the Support tab on the extension's Chrome Web Store page.
